SilentiumPC Navis EVO ARGB 280 AIO Liquid Cooler Review

Installation

One of the main features of the SilentiumPC Navis EVO ARGB 280 is that is (supposedly) has a pretty easy installation method. While this is largely true, there are a few little factors that could’ve improved it further.

Firstly, and as we mentioned earlier in the review, the vast majority of the parts (with the exception of the TR4 socket) all are contained within one singular bag. As such, one of the first things you will have to do it tip them all out and then, by consulting the appropriate manual, find those that apply to your set-up.

Fortunately, the manual is very well presented. While it is light on written instructions, the diagrams are easy enough to read and we found little difficulty in getting our parts sorted and ready to install.

Additionally, the screws to mount the fans are also nice and quick to install. While not exactly the hardest part of an AIO installation, fitting the fan screws, to a double fan set-up, can be rather monotonous. In this instance, however, this was certainly one of the easiest examples we had encountered.

When mounted to the system, that angled corner design does start to make a little more practical sense as it allows you better access to the mounting screws. We should, however, note that despite this, the room is still rather cramped. It requires either slender finders (just to get them initially ‘nipped’ or a very friendly screwdriver.

Overall, however, from out of the box and onto our system the SilentiumPC Navis EVO 280 took us roughly 10-15 minutes to install. By usual 240/280mm cooler designs, this is certainly on the quicker side and while it is a little awkward in places, should provide you with very few problems or headaches.
