SilverStone AR02 CPU Cooler Review
The included fan is a 92mm PWM fan, it does not have a sleeved cable which is a tad disappointing because even though this is a “budget” CPU cooler, it still costs £20+ and the SilverStone AR01 has a sleeved cable yet costs only around £3 more – this should really have one.
There’s nothing really out of the ordinary to note with this fan but it does SilverStone’s bright blue so you’ll either love or hate that. Personally I think it is great.
The base features three direct contact 6mm heat pipes.
The heatsink is 50mm wide and 134mm tall.
The top has a textured finish and the ends of the three U-shaped 6mm heat pipes.
The fins are widely spaced which essentially allows for the performance to be good despite a relatively low airflow 92mm fan.
Another descent entry level cooler.
And, good review, ryan.
Although when compared o the price & performance with CM hyper 212 EVO, well, it doesn’t look as good as it really is.
Hyper 212 EVO is a 120mm based cooler, this is 92mm. Big difference.
Yeah that is, but don’t you think that these designs – are mostly inspired from good old hyper 212+?
Not at all. By that logic anything with a tower heatsink and a fan would constitute Hyper 212 imitation. Other companies released similar CPU coolers before cooler master. If anything this is closer to the Hyper TX3 which is Cooler Master’s triple heat pipe 92mm fan cpu cooler
Like the way he fan is attached. Seems very elegant as compared to the wire type. I just wonder how durable it is.
