Silverstone are a dominant force in the HTPC market and their Grandia have proven a popular choice for system builders for quite some time. Now they’ve gone back to the drawing board and improved their design once again with the impending release of the GD10 (ST-GD10B).
Measuring in at 442 x 171 x 362mm the Grandia is far from small, but still no bigger than your average AV receiver. The big size does have many benefits though, as it means you don’t have to compromise on components compared to a standard desktop ATX chassis. Capable of holding 1 x 2.5″, 2 x 3.5″ and a single 5.25″ drives, 3 x 120mm fans (all fully filtered), 12.2″ graphics cards and a standard ATX PSU, there is no doubt that you can fit a pretty hefty rig in the new Grandia.
With steel construction and a gorgeous flip-front aluminium door, which houses a pair of USB 3.0 ports as well as access to the 5.25″ drive bay, the GD10 should make a great addition to any multimedia setup.
The case is already showing up on pre-order for 89.90 EUR and more retailers will follow suit pretty soon.
