SilverStone Launches its Nightjar NJ700 Fanless PSU

For those in the know, SilverStone is widely represented as being one of the best manufacturers of power supplies around. As such, when they release something new to the market, you can always be pretty certain that it’s going to be worth checking out. – With the launch of their new ‘Nightjar NJ700’, however, we certainly have something very curious here indeed.
SilverStone Nightjar NJ700
In terms of specifications and features, the SilverStone Nightjar NJ700 really seems to hit the ball out of the park with an 80-plus Titanium rated efficiency, fully modular cable design, 100% Japanese capacitors, ripple suppression, and without a fan, you get all of the above with absolutely silent (or at least exceptionally near-silent) operation.
Admittedly, it’s a little difficult to immediately ascertain who, or what, this power supply has been designed for. By and large, I would always view a PSU with a fan (even in hybrid mode) as a more preferable option for the average consumer. However, I daresay that SilverStone knows what they’re doing here and, more so, it’s definitely worth pointing out that it’s unusual to see passive power supplies coming with a wattage output this high!
- Fan-less thermal solution, 0 dBA acoustics
- High quality construction with all Japanese capacitors
- 100% modular cables
- Strict ±2% voltage regulation and low ripple & noise
- 24/7 continuous power output with 45℃ operating temperature
- Class-leading single +12V rail
- PCI-E 8pin and PCI-E 6pin connectors support
