Starfield Hits 234K Players In First Day of Early Access

Today the highly anticipated Starfield has entered its first day of early access before the official September 6th release day.

Starfield Early Access Day 1

Today Starfield entered Early Access and as expected has proved incredibly popular with fans who have been eagerly awaiting its release. On SteamDB the game has been recorded with an all-time peak player count of a whopping 234,502 just an hour after early access opened at 1 AM UTC. Currently, the number is still increasing and will likely hit a new peak on the official release day but it is still an impressive feat.

Lack of Intel Arc Drivers

On another note, AMD and NVIDIA have both released drivers for the game launch to ensure that it would work but for Intel Arc owners it is another story. Currently, Intel don’t have a driver available for early access and as reported by Techpowerup is leading to some users with Arc GPUs completely unable to play the game. Most of the reports state around 30-40 minutes of loading before being met with a broken mess of textures and even up to 30GB of RAM being used during this process. Intel has shared on Twitter that they are aware of this issue and will be working to improve the experience for the official release next week.
