SteelSeries Sensei 310 Ambidextrous Gaming Mouse Review

A Closer Look

The Sensei 310 may not be the most expensive mouse in the world, but it still oozes the kind of quality you would expect from a premium brand. The build quality is superb, and all the edges and details are tight-fitting and beautifully designed. It’s a great looking mouse, and the hard-wearing design is sure to last many late night gaming sessions without fading.

Down the left side, you’ll find a hard-wearing rubber grip. This grip will allow you to really dig your fingers into the mouse, so there’s no chance of it slipping free. Of course, those grips are great for finger tip control and using a lift-off technique too.

Of course, with this being an ambidextrous mouse, the right side is identical to the left. The design is perfectly symmetrical, and you’ll find two large and easy to control switches on each side. While you’ll likely only use one hand at a time, you can use the “spare” buttons on the other side to launch macros and other commands, which is handy for MOBA/MMO type gaming.

The left and right mouse buttons use their own panels, mounted on their own springs. This means that you don’t get feedback from one to the other. Overall, the response feels more accurate and snappy, which is great for fast paced gameplay. Behind each, you’ll find an OMRON switch, each delivering a light action, but a nice audible and tactile click.

On the base of the mouse, three small slipmats help increase the glide of the mouse. The curved edges, as well as the slim and light design of the mouse ensure it glides wonderfully, even on thicker and softer gaming surfaces.

The level of RGB on offer isn’t going to dazzle, but it’s more than enough for highlighting your profiles and macros. There’s some RGB built into the large rubber coated scroll wheel.

Finally, you’ll also find an RGB lit SteelSeries logo on the back of the mouse. Now, let’s go play some games!
