Streamplify @ Computex 2023

Streamplify is one of the most popular streaming hardware brands on the market today, and I think it’s fair to say they’ve positioned themselves are a more budget-friendly competitor to Corsair’s Elgato brand, and from my own experience, they’ve been pretty damn competition on performance too, not just price. They look set to take that to the next level this year, with the reveal of both their new MIC Pro and CAM Pro hardware.

The MIC Pro is pretty much what you would expect, a more high-end version of their existing MIC product. It features a new condenser microphone design and 192kHZ/24-bit processing, but most interestingly it has four pickup patterns to suit virtually any task, such as streaming games, interviews, and live performances for musicians and more.

CAM Pro is pretty much along the same lines too, and it is their first 4K resolution camera, shoots at 30 FPS, features a turn-down privacy shutter, and a handy optional stand.

The camera is great quality too, as I sat in front of it for a good fifteen minutes waiting for Andy to shoot a video on the next booth.

This also meant I had time to tinker with the current range of Streamplify products, such as their USB controllers, and lighting and take a sneak at one of their upcoming products, but it’s only a prototype right now.

Is that an Elgato Stream Deck competitor? Why yes it is, and they’re not the only ones doing it either, as we saw a few products similar this year, and Elgato may soon have some real competition.

Still, while I wait, I guess I’ll just stand in front of this completely innocent Streamplify greenscreen…
