A Closer Look – Exterior

Power Supply Unit

The Super Flower Leadex Platinum has a one-of-a-kind look to it. Not only is it an incredibly unique colour: all -white, but it’s also got a unique fan grille and a great overall design.

The side features an embossed Super Flower logo but its all white so very difficult to pick up on camera.

The other side has the power sticker with all the relevant details on. If you mount the fan facing upwards in a normal ATX case you’ll find the sticker gets hidden away which is what most people should choose.

At the cable end we see the universal connector system. This is a really cool design idea, aside from the motherboard 24 pin all the other cables use identical connectors. You can plug any universal cable in any universal slot and it will work just fine.

At the back there’s a power input, power switch and additional switch for toggling between the auto and eco fan modes. By default the eco fan mode came activated on our unit.

The bottom of the unit is entirely plain white.

Cabling

As mentioned all the cables except the motherboard cable come with universal connectors. Below we can see 5 PCI Express cables, four have one PCIe connector on and the fifth has two given you six in total. There’s also a pair of CPU cables, both 8 pin capable and one can be split into 4+4.

The motherboard connector comes with a different connector to the rest so you won’t be able to get that connection wrong. You get four modular cables for SATA and molex. Two cables provide four SATA each and the other two cables provide two SATA and two molex, and then three molex and one FDD.
