Encryption of data is a simple way to add another layer of protection for your setup. All NAS devices support encryption these days, but they’re not all the same. Some support encryption per folder while others support encryption for a whole drive volume. All available modes will be tested and the results can be seen below, compared to a normal non-encrypted share/drive.
