The modules come packaged inside a plastic shell, and then sealed down by a outer card layer. In the top right of the card, we can see the relevant specifications of the memory including speed, size, capacity, timings, voltage and of course the model number if you want to do some research on this particular kit. The outer card has a nice bright colour scheme with the Xtreem branding and Team Group logo on it.
Flipping the packaging over, we can see more branding including the LV Series denotation and how they are overclocking memory modules. A quick blurb on the Xtreem Series is printed in a few different languages and some logos from other review sites are printed here too.
Further down we find the various ways of contacting Team Group including support forums, email addresses and telephone numbers and it’s worth noting (as you can see) that these modules come with a lifetime warranty, as do most modules from different brands in the market today.
Taking the outer card off involves cutting it along the top, thus acting a bit like a security seal. Once this was taken off, we can see the simple plastic shell packaging used to protect the modules and inside were the modules themselves and a little installation guide, but I’m sure the type of user buying this type of specialist memory would have a good idea or two on how to install modules into their motherboard.
Once we take the modules out of their casing, you’ll be greeted with two modules, both featuring quite tall heatspreaders with slats cut into the top of them. The Xtreem branding is featured on the modules, as well as the Team Group logo and some bright red artwork.
Turning the modules over and looking at the other side, we can see that Team Group have opted for a plain design here with no fancy artwork. Instead we find the typical warranty sticker detailing various information on the modules.
Zooming in closer to the sticker, we find the speed, module size, timings, voltage and model number. The serial number for the particular memory kit is also on here.
