Tesoro Thyrsus Laser MMO Gaming Mouse Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Tesoro Thyrsus Laser Gaming Mouse is available for around $59.99 USD, which is pretty competitive given that you can often spend up to twice as much on some competitors mice, yet you’ll not find any extra features for the money.

Overview

I’ve long been a fan of Tesoro peripherals, as they’re a little bit different to most things on the market. Tesoro don’t go down the gimmick route, but they do make an effort to create unique, stylish and practical products, with the added bonus that they often come with a very competitive and wallet friendly price tag, and what kind of consumer can’t love that!

The Thyrsus, while having a fairly difficult to pronounce name, it offers up some very impressive performance for day-to-day work, and even more so when it comes to gaming. Featuring 10 fully programmable buttons, it’s easy to get all your favourite macros and shortcuts right at your fingertips, and that’s a big advantage for everything from photo editing, to farming mobs in your favourite MMORPG.

The design is stylish, and the build quality is robust. The rubber grip top coating and the curvy ergonomics are as practical as they are great to look at, and the addition of good quality switches, a braided cable and LED lighting, only help to sweeten the deal.

Overall, this is a great mouse to use and it offers up all the features you’re ever likely to need. Another welcome addition to the Tesoro range, and fitting the spec for a mouse named after a mythical weapon.

Pros

  • Great design
  • Excellent performance
  • Durable build quality
  • 10 programmable buttons
  • LED lighting
  • Braided cable
  • Competitive price

Cons

  • None

Neutral

  • Right hand only
  • Minor acceleration at max DPI, but too small to notice unless you’re really looking for it

“Packed full of features, delivering fantastic performance, and looking stylish, the Thyrsus is one seriously cool mouse and will make a welcome addition to any MMO gamers battle station.”
