The Yakuza series is something I played fairly recently and very much enjoyed. The series features great fighting mechanics paired up with a strong storyline with emotional moments and silly moments all the way from Yakuza Zero to Yakuza 6. The game puts you in control of Kiryu Kazuma, a former Yakuza trying to escape the criminal life and fighting a multitude of Yakuza Bosses and street-level thugs whilst also making many friends and allies. Yakuza provides you with intense fights and a great story with some strong emotional moments plus a variety of side quests and activities. If you enjoy fighting games with good gameplay, engaging stories, or in my case have Sleeping Dogs as one of your all-time favourite games, then you should definitely try out the Yakuza series especially if you’re a fan of Japan.
