Thermalright has recently introduced a new product, or more sort of an ‘update’ if you will, with the Silver Arrow SB-E CPU cooler.
Based on the 2010 model of the Silver Arrow, this new product brings an update to adapt to the most recent CPUs around. It also brings a refreshing configuration to best its predecessor.
Featuring a dual tower/dual fan design, the Silver Arrow SB-E is equipped with eight nickel-plated 6 mm copper heatpipes with a tweaked heatsink and two TY PWM fans – one 140mm and one 150mm.
The mounting kit offers supports for Intel’s LGA 2011, 1366, 1156, 1155, 755 and AMD’s AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1 processors.
In order to avoid interference with taller memory modules, the cooler now makes use of more ‘discrete’ fan clips.
A bit of a tweaking here and there and that’s what came up. For comparison, the original Silver Arrow featured four 8mm pipes and two 140mm spinners. Whether or not these changes will make a huge difference remains to seen, certainly some overclocker out there will put it to the test.
Set to become available at the end of this month, the price tag wasn’t announced although it can be found on pre-order for around $103/€78.
