Thermalright Macho Rev.A (BW) CPU Cooler Review

The Thermalright Macho Rev.A (BW) is huge heatsink, as you can see it dominates the majority of the LGA 1155 socket area.

The heatsink is raised up enough to not conflict with any motherboard heatsinks and it isn’t wide enough to block any PCI Express lanes (although it is pretty tight with the first PCI Express 1X slot) – which is all good but generally what you would expect from a tower heatsink CPU cooler.

Amazingly there was 100% RAM compatibility due to the slanted nature of the CPU cooler. Top marks to Thermalright for this design innovation as it will be appreciated by consumers, no one wants to have to change their RAM heatsinks or RAM to use a CPU cooler and with the Thermalright Macho you won’t have to.
