A Closer Look – Interior

The side panel window opens up on a hinge easily enough and uses a magnetic catch to keep it closed. However, it also has lift-off hinges, so you can take the panel off easily enough and put it to one side while you work on your build.

Unsurprisingly, there’s a lot of room on the Ceres 500 interior. There are virtually no obstructions in here, an almost completely flat motherboard tray. This is interesting, as it means you could fit almost any width motherboard in here, even if it wasn’t officially supported by the case.

There’s a single bank of cable grommets to the right, but there are more holes above the motherboard, in the shroud and near the front panel too. Overall it should be pretty straightforward to sort your cables out.

Of course, with such a huge PSU shroud, cramming excess cables out of sight is easily done too, so even if you’re feeling lazy it’ll be a breeze to get a clean-looking build. There’s a removable bracket here, which can be used to mount a riser cable. The cable isn’t included, but they’re easy enough to find if you haven’t already got one.

There’s a plate here which can be used to mount a 3.5″ drive or even 2 x 2.5″ drives should you need them here. However, you can completely remove the bracket for a cleaner look too if you so desire. There are some pre-installed fans in the front, and they sit on the outside of the main chassis framing, keeping this main section very neat and tidy.

The front panel design is actually pretty deep, allowing those fans to sit between it and the case. Plus, there’s a really nice quality dust filter built into it too.

Look how tidy that pre-installed cable routing is! Very nice.

It’s the same up on the top, with another deep panel that can be lifted out to access dust filters and fan mounts.

It will certainly make for quick and easy cleaning and maintenance.

The rear panel is easily removed, and just like the left side, it has another dust filter in the corner for that additional ventilation section.

There’s a lot of space back here, but just like the front, it’s a very clean design overall. There are very few things sticking out or causing any kind of obstruction.

If that’s not enough, you get a removable drive tray in the bottom of the case too, so storage junkies can certainly cram a lot of drives into the Ceres 500 TG!
