How Much Does it Cost?

With a price retailing in the region of £173.99 the Thermaltake Floe DX isn’t exactly an inexpensive cooler, even when compared to your average 360 entry-level models. That does, however, highlight the difference. This is not an entry-level cooler nor indeed your ‘average’ one either!

When you consider the technology included with this cooler (no less the three Riing Duo fans) this is, without a doubt, a premium product. As correctly highlighted in the full product name!

Overview

In terms of design, it’s really hard to fault the Thermaltake Floe DX. Thermaltake has clearly spared little expensive to make this AIO liquid cooler a cut above ‘the rest’ and it shows throughout the design.

Whether the lights are on or off, this looks amazing and for a 360mm cooler, that’s something that not many other manufacturers have achieved. Admittedly, the temperature performance figures were not quite what we expected. We do, however, suspect that these may have been set (as a default) to give some amazing acoustic performances as a higher priority. Thanks to Thermaltake’s excellent app, however, you can get this cooler to set the colours (or run) exactly how you want it to!

Should I Buy One?

Thermaltake Floe DX 360 RGB TT Premium Edition. It’s an impressive name and, frankly, based on what we saw here, one that’s entirely deserved. Yes, it isn’t cheap, but that isn’t what Thermaltake is trying to do here. If the price is a factor, then trust me, they have more than enough products out there to cover you in that regard!

The Thermaltake Floe DX has, however, clearly been designed as a premium product throughout. It looks amazing whether the lights are on or off and if your system build is just lacking that certain je ne sais quoi (or, sticking with the French theme, coup de gras), this is certainly it!

Pros

  • Faultless design – Clearly a high-end product in every aspect!
  • Some of the best RGB lighting we have seen in a cooler
  • Easy to install and easier to set-up with Thermaltake’s excellent compatibility and software
  • Amazing acoustic performance leading to whisper-quiet performance.

Cons

  • None

Neutral

  • The price point isn’t particularly attractive, despite this being a high-end product.
