Thermaltake Releases SWAFAN RGB Series With Reversible Airflow Design

Thermaltake have released their new SWAFAN RGB fan series in sizes of 120 and 140mm which boast a unique feature allowing you to swap out your fan blades.
The SWAFAN RGB Series
The Thermaltake SWAFAN RGB Series features a swappable fan blade design that allows you to switch between 2 types of impellers included in the package, so you can create the ideal airflow for your chassis without compromising the aesthetics of its RGB lighting. The swappable impellers allow for a push-pull configuration without having the frame from an intake fan obstruct the design and RGB.
The two impellers are identified by two different black and silver labels. The black labelled impeller is the standard one that pushes air through the frame and out the back of the fan whilst the silver is the opposite and pulls air through the frame. The fans also come in both white and black colour variants.
Both the 120mm and 140mm SWAFAN feature hydraulic bearings which are rated for 40000 hours with speeds from 500 to 2000 RPM and offer different performances for the two different impellers.
For the 120mm model, the standard impeller pushes up to 53.02 CFM of airflow at 2.58 H₂O static pressure whilst creating a 30.5 dBA noise output. For the reverse impeller, the 120mm model offers a slightly higher 54.85 CFM of airflow at 2.19mm H₂O static pressure, and an increased 36.5 dBA noise output.
Its 140mm variant with the standard impellers pushes up to 77.6 CFM of airflow at 3.12 mm H₂O static pressure creating a 34.5 dBA noise output whilst its reverse impeller pushes less at 71.3 CFM of airflow at 2.59 mm H₂O static pressure, and again at a higher 40.5 dBA noise output.
Unfortunately, the SWAFAN series uses a proprietary 9-pin connection instead of a standard 4-pin PWM connection but bundled with these fans is the included RGB controller that interfaces with the motherboard with a standard USB 2.0 header. This RGB Hub is controlled through the Thermaltake TT RGB Plus Software and even works with Amazon Alexa.
Where Can I Learn More?
The Thermaltake SWAFAN RGB fans are available now at the Thermaltake store where in turn you can learn more about this interesting design. The fans come in a pack of 3 which includes 3 Frames, 3 black labelled fan blades, 3 silver labelled fan blades and an RGB controller.
