The box is pretty simple, but has a nice and large photo of the cooler on the front, and we can see it’ll coop up to a 250W TDP CPU.

Around the back, there are a few images of the main components and accessories, as well as a quick rundown of features, but it’s all pretty straightforward stuff.

The interior of the box has a foam top, and two large sections of foam protecting the cooler on all sides.

Then a second inner durable box protects every part of the cooler.

And even then, there’s a box in the middle ensuring the additional hardware is all tightly packaged and protected.

A Closer Look

First impressions are really good, with a large dual tower cooler design. Of course, this is the “black” version of this cooler, and while there is a slightly cheaper non-black version that has the more old-school silver aesthetic, they are otherwise the same core design.

At the back of the cooler, there’s a stepped design, which will help change the speed of the air passing through the cooler, allowing it to draw more heat away from the cooler.

There’s plenty of room in the middle, so that’ll make it easy to get to those mounting screws at the bottom with your screwdriver. The cooler comes with two fans, and these can be mounted on either side of either tower to suit your installation requirements.

There are seven 6mm heat pipes in a U-shape running through both towers, but rather than have the heat pipe tips exposed at the top, Thermaltake has given them some gorgeous looking top covers, with a brushed aluminium design and a tasteful Thermaltake logo in the middle.

Honestly, for a mid-budget air cooler, it looks pretty fancy and should look great in virtually any system build.

The heatpipe configuration is robust, providing massive amounts of heat dissipation and also complete coverage of the large contact plate on the bottom of the cooler.

The contact plate is large, and nicely machined with a shiny and smooth surface so it should make good contact with any compatible CPU.

The fans are both premium quality 140mm models, with a 9-blade PWM design.

I don’t know which plastic this is, but it looks like one of the strong composite materials that are less susceptible to deformation over time, but overall, just a more premium construction in general.
