As this is market as a ‘low ripple noise’ power supply we expected some good results here and, on the whole, we were not disappointed. The scores seen in the 3.3V and 5V output were very good with only one result being higher than 10.

Admittedly, the 12V rail was a little more excitable. It should, however, be noted that EU regulations allow this to go as high as 50 and, as you can see here, the Thermaltake Toughpower GX1 doesn’t come close! – We do suspect that on our testing machine this result may have been significantly lower had the power supply had additional PCIe ports.
