Overall, in voltage regulation what we like to see more than anything is consistency. For this, as you can clearly see, The Thermaltake Toughpower iRGB Plus gives very impressive figures. With exceptionally solid and recurring figures it’s hard to find fault.
Admittedly the -12V rail is a little more off the mark when compared to the others. Given how little this rail is used though, it’s hardly a matter of any concern.
With the Thermaltake Toughpower iRGB Plus being Titanium rated, one of the main key factors in the design is going to be the power efficiency. Being Titanium rated, this should be as good as it gets. To put things simply, at 100% the power supply must output with a minimum 91% efficiency. As you can see below, this power supply does that with ease.
Achieving around a 94% efficiency at maximum load, this is definitely Titanium rated. As such, if efficiency is a big deal to you, then you don’t need to look much further.
PFC ratings often start low, go high and end low. Not dissimilar to effiency ratings. In this regard though, the harder you push this power supply, the better it seems to do. While there is a little drop off after the 80% load mark, the 100% is still over 0.95 which is exceptionally impressive and something we do not often see.
