Thermaltake Toughpower iRGB Plus 1250w PSU Review

Fan Speed

The Thermaltake Toughpower iRGB does not have a hybrid mode and as such, no testing could be conducted in that regard. Despite that though, it has been designed with passive cooling that should not require the use of the fan below 50% load. With that in mind, the results confirm that this is indeed the case. The fan did not actually run for us until above 60%.

While the fan speed does crank up at 100% load, for a 1250w power supply that is hardly unusual. Even then, the sound levels are still exceptionally quite and I doubt in a full system you would even notice it.
