Fan Speed

Our testing would appear to confirm that the Thermaltake Toughpower iRGB PLUS does monitor the temperatures a lot more efficiently than most power supplies. This is clearly indicated by the fan speed results below which show a consistent increase based on the power levels required.

We should note that at less than 30%, the fan did not stop operating. This, at least according to the advertising, should happen. Our testing does, however, sometimes ask rather unusual things of power supplies. As such, a fair proxy of ‘forgiveness’ should always be made. Even then though, the fan speed was at an exceptionally low 225RPM. This is amazingly quiet! This is likely thanks, in no small part, to their excellent design and ‘Riing’ fan.
