Thrustmaster Introduces SimTask Steering Kit For Trucking Sims

Recently I’ve been binging a lot of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and in doing so I’ve been using a Thrustmaster TMX steering wheel to enhance my experience, today Thrustmaster has revealed a new SimTask Steering Kit to even further enhance that experience for Heavy Vehicle Sims.

Thrustmaster SimTask Steering Kit

The SimTask Steering kit is a simple enhancement for the T128 and T248 steering wheels that allow for an enhanced experience when playing heavy vehicle sims such as Euro Truck Simulator. The kit introduces a new desk mount that allows the user to easily adjust their steering wheel into a flat position (from 15° to 85° and height of +/- 30mm) which more accurately reflects the controls of farm machinery or other heavy vehicles. This mount is made from a sturdy 100% metal structure with 2mm thick sheet metal for robustness and lifespan. The mount clamps to desks ranging from 15 to 50mm thick and is done so with a tool-less installation.

Alongside the mount is a rotary spinner knob which allows for additional agility for one-handed steering whilst operating controls or the many gears of a truck. The spinner knob features a steel axle for stiffness and an extended service life and is easily clamped to the steering wheel.

Price and Availability

This kit is compatible with the T128 and T248 steering wheels so unfortunately not something I’d be able to use, however, if it is something that takes your interest, it will be available in November for £69.99 / €79.99 € / $79.99 with Pre-Orders starting in October 2023.
