I was first introduced to VR Covers when the launched for the Oculus DK2. It’s a simple thing really, a cloth covering for the foam padding that adds an extra layer of protection. However, they also provide more padding, block out more exterior light, and most importantly, they’re washable.
You get two covers in the bag, as well as instructions on how to mount them.
The last thing you want is to have someone else’s sweaty VR headset touch your face, so with changeable and washable covers, these are an easy fix.
The material is very nicely designed and soft to the skin. It’s also durable on the seams to it should last a long time.
The foam pre-fitted to your Vive, if you didn’t know this, is mounted using Velcro. Simply pull it off and you can change it. However, you can also mount the VR Cover to the Velcro, the replace the foam on top of that.
