PerformanceFirstly we will look at the design. It is slightly different to what you might expect, with one side being curved round. To be honest, I didn’t desperately like it, the white on the left-hand side appears out of no where and isn’t quite fitting. It will also show up any dirt and after a few weeks of use its not exactly going to be white. Also on top of this it is 40mm less wide making it feel a lot smaller to use, although it is still not a small area it is just smaller than some of its competitors.

The cloth-surface is not as silky as others I have tested, so I wouldn’t expect it to be that fast. The rubber-base is good enough as it stops the mouse-pad from sliding, while it does make the mouse-pad fairly comfortable as it has a bit of give in it. Comparing this to the ZOWIE G-TF Speed Version you will find that this mousepad is twice as thick, and so it certainly wins in the comfort area.

The main part of the mouse pad does feel durable, although I am not convinced as to how long the edges of the mouse pad will last as there is nothing at all to stop the top layer fraying, which is certainly going to happen given time.

Moving to the performance specifically, and using the same ZOWIE MiCO and ZOWIE EC1 mouse that we tested with the ZOWIE mousepad we found it to be exceptionally smooth with real control and precisions easy to achieve. However, it is not that fast, considering this is meant to be a speed edition it is lacking the turbo that the ZOWIE G-TF Speed Edition provides. On the other hand I found that older style mice (red laser) tended to work better on the Tt eSPORTS mousepad as the surface was more uniform.

During everyday use, the fact that it is slightly smaller is probably more of a bonus as it takes up less of my precious desk space, and while I didn’t say the ZOWIE was too large, I didn’t exactly run out of mousepad space. This Tt eSPORTS mouse pad is not as quiet as the ZOWIE model so there is a little bit of noise generated but it is only whisper quiet.
