A Closer LookAfter taking the product out of the packaging, which is a bit fiddly, and leaves the fairly long cable rather untidy, you can see the headset in all its glory.

Taking a look at the product in a logical order, we will start with the USB connector. Tt eSPORTS have gone to the extra effort of producing a Gold-plated connector, in theory this improves the connection but this is only usually noticeable after several years! They have even given it its own protective plastic cover.

After moving up quite a long, near 3m cable, we come to the in-line remote or as they call it: “Sound Enhancer Control Box”. From the front we can see volume up and down buttons, as well as microphone and headset mute controls.

From the side we can see two slide-switches, one turns the lighting system on or off and the other locks the buttons so they can’t be accidentally pressed.

The back of the Control Box has a clip so you can clip it in place meaning its always accessible, this also takes the weight of the headset.

Moving further up we come to the headset itself, which from the top doesn’t look anything too special, although the Tt eSPORTS Red and Black theme is fairly obvious. They have also labelled which ear cup is which in rather large lettering so that is also fairly obvious.

Taking a closer look at the left-hand ear-cup, which is where the cable goes into the headset, we see a microphone boom folded over.

Folding the microphone out we see it is fairly flexible and unlike other headsets it does want to stay in place after you have bent it slightly.

Whereas on the right-hand side of the headset we find just the ear cup, you can see that this also has the illuminated Tt eSPORTS logo on the outside of the headband.

As I had previously mentioned, the Tt eSPORTS Shock One comes with 2 set’s of earcups, they can easily be removed by just pulling them off and can easily be pushed back on.

These are the pre-attached ear cups which are the leather version.

Taking a look at the headband we see the Tt eSPORTS By Thermaltake full logo in fairly large lettering on top of the headband itself.

On the other side of the headband we see a standard rubber padding that should make this headset comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
