Turtle Beach Battle Buds Review – Built for Battle Royale

How Much Does it Cost?

The Turtle Beach Battle Buds are available now from most major retailers. Their price is pretty fantastic too. At just £24.99 in the UK and $29.99 in the US. They even come in a choice of all black, or a funky white and blue variant. For that kind of money, you’re going to struggle to find anything that comes close to these in regards to performance and value.

Overview

Turtle Beach has done it again, delivering a killer headset for an even more impressive price. They’re not the biggest, flashiest or even the best headset they make. However, I think that is respectably reflected in the price too. I can’t think of any in-ear gaming headset or even an over-ear headset that’s this cheap yet sound as good as this.

Performance

They say it’s built for Battle Royale, and I’ll admit, they do excel at that task. For playing a bit of Apex Legends, Fortnite, PUBG, they tick the right boxes. The sound has plenty of punch and massive volume too. But what they have in bassy “wow factor” they balance with clear and easy-on-the-ear team chat too. They sound great for watching YouTube, enjoying music, etc too though. There’s a good punchy sound that’s certainly pleasing to the ear.

Build Quality

There’s not much to the headphones, but there’s not much to go wrong either. They’re lightweight, the cables are durable and well designed. Plus, with multiple ear-buds included, a detachable microphone, and a carry case all included for added value. Dual microphones are there, so you’ve always got one or the other at the ready too.

Should I Buy One?

If you’re like me, you like a versatile headset. With the ability to use these as everyday headphones for your daily commute, at home for some gaming with friends, and even for making phone calls while you’re in the office. They tick all the right boxes. I won’t be giving up my giant over-ear headphones just yet, but as a second travel set, these will be going everywhere with me!

So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
