Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Xbox One Wireless Headset Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The best thing about this headset right now is the price. Turtle Beach has an MSRP of around £130, and honestly, it is worth that. However, Amazon on a few other retailers are selling it for closer to £90, making it an absolute bargain for such a well equipped wireless gaming headset.

Overview

I really can’t fault this headset, as it promised to deliver a comprehensive range of features and premium performance, and it certainly did that. There are so many features here that are worthy of your attention and it’s easily one of the best headsets on the market today. It blends all the features you would expect from a more expensive model, sounds as good as their flagship models at half the price, and obviously, it’s pretty affordable given the specifications.

Sound Quality

Movies, music, gaming, chatting with friends, and anything else you throw at it sound great. The headset does suffer from the same slightly low stock volume as every other Turtle Beach headset, but the custom EQ can easily fix that and then some. The built-in profiles are excellent, but I highly recommend you get the app and make your own to really make this headset shine.

Sonic is a great feature to have too and provides some truly impressive surround sound processing for standard surround sound, as well as object-based audio support for games that feature Atmos height channel effects.

Build Quality

Turtle Beach do use a lot of plastics in their headsets, but they’re light, durable, and very nicely finished. Plastic doesn’t have to look and feel cheap, and it certainly doesn’t here. Their also some of the most comfortable wireless headsets, and feel nicely balanced and lightweight, which is obviously a good thing. Having no wires to worry about, and a hard-wired short-boom microphone also helps keep things nice and simple.

Added Value

Super Human Hearing mode is a fun feature, that can give you an edge in battle and not something you normally see on console headsets. Add to that the long battery life of around 10 hours, the on-headset controls, separate volume controls, Bluetooth and app support, and noise cancelling tech. However, one of the coolest features is the most subtle, a slightly tweaked design to make the headset more comfortable to those wearing glasses! Overall, you couldn’t ask for more at this price range, it’s one of the best Xbox One headsets money can buy today.
