Ubisoft Cancels Assassin’s Creed Shadows Press Previews

Ubisoft Cancels Assassin's Creed Shadows Press Previews

Ubisoft has reportedly canceled the planned press previews for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. According to a report from Tom Henderson on Insider Gaming, this unexpected move has led to speculation that the game could face a delay.

This situation was further complicated by Ubisoft’s official announcement of its withdrawal from the Tokyo Game Show 2024. The cancellation includes the presentation of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which was supposed to take place at the event. According to Henderson’s sources, the press previews were scheduled for next week, and an embargo date was to be set. However, Ubisoft has not provided any reason for the sudden change in plans.

Despite these developments, the game’s release date is still set for November 12, 2024. However, with the lack of communication and clarity from Ubisoft, it’s unclear if this date will hold.

The cancellation of Ubisoft’s presence at the Tokyo Game Show was vaguely attributed to “various reasons.” This has raised questions about the current state of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and whether the game will be ready in time for its scheduled launch. With only a month and a half left, fans are eagerly waiting for more information and clarity from Ubisoft.
