A few days ago, we told you about a very promising tech demo that was put together by a Zelda fan. We also told you that its creator was working on a VR version of it, and now, that version is actually available for you all. It’s true that VR gaming is still in its early stages at this point. Sure, it can be quite entertaining, but VR headsets still have a long way to go until they become comfortable for prolonged sessions. Considering how good Unreal Engine 4 looks, this demo is definitely worth a try, especially since it is completely free. The good news is that the two most popular VR headsets are supported.
The tech demo currently supports both the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift. There’s only one level available for play, and the combat system is not the most polished one. However, the overall experience should appeal to PC gamers, especially since there’s no Zelda PC game on the horizon. If you are interested in downloading this VR Zelda tech demo yourself, you can do so right here.
