The Upcoming Yakuza 6 Is Delayed Until April

Yakuza 6

Originally due for release in March 2018, Yazuka 6 has been one of Sega’s most anticipated releases. Unfortunately, however, it seems that we are going to have to wait a little longer to experience the next chapter in this gaming series.

Yes, unfortunately, Yakuza 6 has been delayed, but fortunately, we’re not going to have to wait that much longer.

Delayed!

Originally scheduled for release on March 20th, Sega has announced that the latest Yakuza game will now be delayed until April 17th. So less than a month and therefore not too bad.

Due to release as a PlayStation exclusive, in the report via GameSpot Sega hasn’t actually given a reason for the delay, but have promised that more detailed will be revealed over the timespan.

What do we know about the game?

Short answer, beyond what is revealed in the trailer, not a lot. The game will act as a direct sequel to the 5th instalment and if the rumours are to be believed, it may be the final release in the gaming series.

In fairness to the series, it has largely been excellent and has not garnered the attention it has rightly deserved.

What we do know is that it will be the first outing of the ‘Dragon Engine’ which has been specifically designed for the PS4. We, therefore, might be treated to some thrills and visuals we have yet to see from the somewhat ageing console.

Release date

Yakuza 6 will (hopefully) release on the PS4 on April 17th, 2018. We have included the trailer for the game below and anyone not familiar with the series might want to check it out. You might be missing out on something here.
