Developer Four Quarters has been bringing me a lot of entertainment this week. Albeit, entertainment while I should have been working… whoops. This game certainly isn’t for everyone. You’re throwing into a world in a timeless loop and you use a mystical deck of cards to place enemies, buildings and other obstacles that you can cast into the loop. It’s a card game, puzzle game, and rogue-like all in one. It’s hard-core, 8-bit retro-styled and extremely addictive. Can you save the world and break the time loop of the Lich!

Death’s Door
Another Switch treat is Death’s Door. This one has already been a big hit on PC, but it’s a game that’s well equipped to be enjoyable on the Switch, with exploration and hack-and-slash action that’s well suited to the handheld, but also just as much fun kicking back on the couch with a pro controller.
You are a bird who takes the bus to work and then goes on magical quests to reap souls. Sounds odd, but that’s just the start. Really neat story, characters you can get invested in and plenty of interesting twists and turns make this one of the coolest games you’ll play all year. Powerful melee, ranged and magic combat. Plenty of powerful enemies to battle, and puzzles to solve along the way.
