PC Mark 8
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get PC Mark 8 to complete the benchmark despite multiple runs and trying to diagnose the error. While the error code didn’t give a definitive answer, I’m fairly confident this is a known bug with the Intel i5 6500 processor and should be rectified in the near future. Sadly, this means it was impossible during the time of review to record an accurate score.
3DMark
The Defcon 3’s performance in 3DMark is good but falls behind the Element X Green’s configuration which costs less and records significantly better scores. This is an example of how AMD masters the price to performance ratio on lower end hardware.
Unigine Heaven
The gap isn’t as pronounced in Heaven 4.0 but once again demonstrates the impeccable price to performance ratio of the Element X Green. That’s not to say these results are disappointing, but I would have preferred to see a weaker CPU and slightly higher end graphics card.
