War Inc. Battle Zone (F2P) PC Review

Graphics wise, the game isn’t too lacking, while the game does look fairly decent on the ultra graphics settings it still comes up short compared to both modern AAA release titles and some other free to play titles, especially titles like Blacklight retribution, which is still one of the best looking shooters around and its also free-to-play.  The games seems to be aiming more at a high resolution version of the sort of thing we saw 5 years ago, or perhaps more.  While there is a lot of detail to some of the maps, such as the detailed water and plant life, it all just looks a little stiff and lifeless, fortunately this is compensated by a good map layout, plenty of obstacles and buildings to provide cover and no doubt plenty of camping opportunities, while a little unimaginative the maps are for the most part plentiful in size.

While having the game on Ultra the game does suffer quite a hit and paces down to 25fps on my system, which just makes me think that it isn’t optomised all that well, given that the end results are not that spectacular I’m certain my system could be running a whole lot more with a much better frame rate (EVGA GTX 460 SSC 1GB, AMD 955 BE Quad @ 3.6Ghz).
