Which MSI Gaming PC is Right For You? Three Systems Tested!

MEG Aegis Ti5 12th Gen

This is the most powerful, expensive and unique system of the three. In fact, the Aegis series is unlikely most gaming PCs and you’ll either love its completely bonkers and futuristic design or you’ll absolutely hate it. In fact, my son said it looks ugly as hell, and my girlfriend fawned over it and gave it a little hug; it really is the marmite of gaming PCs this one. That being said, it’s more than just a gimmick of design, as it’s packing some seriously high-end hardware, and while it comes with a hefty price tag, it’s going to crush it when it comes to performance too.

Just look at that design! It’s like a supercar, a helicopter and a motorbike merged to make a spaceship. They designed it around the theme of “speed” and it certainly looks like it’s going fast just standing on my desk. Another thing I noticed about it is that it’s actually pretty compact. However, despite the size, it has the weight of a massive desktop computer… this thing is bloody heavy!

Its design is utterly unique though, and despite the weird shape, it still packs traditional and upgradable PC hardware. Inside this unique beast, you’ll find the latest Intel Core i9-12900K 12th Gen processor, a high-end MSI GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card, and DDR5 memory. That’s right, this thing is going to absolutely rip when it comes to any game or resolution you want to throw at it!

The case is obviously unique, but it also has a built-in LED panel jog-wheel on the front panel. It’s such a pointless and awesome thing to have. You can turn it to pick from volume control, game launchers, system information, temperatures, and so much more. Or just have a gif play on it, because, why not!

Beyond that, there’s RGB built into the interior and exterior of the case. You can leave it on auto, or you can use MSI Mystic Light to customise it to your liking. It’s pretty cool, as it can even by synced with NanoLead and Philips Hue.

Semaphores built into both sides?

Nope, well… yes, sort of, but they’re actually headphone stands!

Despite the way it looks, this case is still packing a standard ATX PSU (in the lower section), it still has a traditional motherboard and other hardware. It’s also equipped with both 2.5G and 1G networking, and the latest WiFi technologies. One thing I do love is that you can see the graphics card buried in the heart of the system if you look through this top viewing window. If you can see it in there, you can see it’s a potent triple fan high-end RTX 3090 graphics card too, oooooh-yeah!
