The interior of the PSU looks well made, although that comes as no surprise for a unit that was manufactured by Seasonic. There are a few large coils on line-in and with the help of a few passive heat sinks, everything is well spaced out, so cooling should be very good overall.
There are two main bulk capacitors in here, each rated for 420v, 330uf and 105c, so there’s no doubt that this will be able to provide the 850W of power and perhaps a little more.
The AC line-in and filtering stage.
The heat sinks over the caps are always nice to see, as this will help greatly with cooling, especially so when the fan is running in hybrid mode.
The soldering on the PCB is neat and tidy, which is always a good sign. There’s quite a lot of glue around some of the wiring, no doubt to help make it even more secure and prevent it from shorting anything out, which is again no bad thing.
The fan is a Jamicon dual ball bearing 12V model, obviously this connects to the PSUs fan controller which will allow it to run at variable RPM and, of course, stop it completely in Hybrid Mode.
