XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition Graphics Card Review

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rise of the Tomb Raider’s Very High preset is quite difficult to contend with, especially on lower-end graphics cards. Nevertheless, the XFX RX 480 GTR Black manages to cope relatively well and outputs impressive frame rates. During 1080p testing, the GPU matches the GTX 980 and falls slightly adrift of the ASUS STRIX GAMING GTX 1060 OC. Once the resolution is set to 2560×1440, the performance is splendid and the gap to the GTX 1060 becomes extremely small. Honestly, I’d opt for lower settings with a 2560×1440 monitor because the frame dips are really irritating in more demanding sections.
