XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition Graphics Card Review

Gears of War 4

Another recent addition to the testing suite is Gears of War 4 which has some of best optimisation I’ve seen for some time. While using the Ultra preset, the graphics card performed really well and provides a stable, consistent user experience up to 2560×1440. During 1080p benchmarking, the XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition couldn’t match the ASUS STRIX GAMING GTX 1060 OC but this shouldn’t detract from another great showing. Once the resolution was increased to 2560×1440, the deficit reduced and the GPU almost reached an impressive 60 frames per second average. The 4K frame rate is unplayable and requires some hefty concessions in the options menu.
