The Zotac Amp Extreme 1070 Ti graphics card is available now at around £479.99. That’s not a small amount of money, but given the performance is on par with the more expensive VEGA 64, and almost as good as the more expensive GTX 1080
There are so many killer graphics cards on the market right now across a huge range of prices to suit each consumer’s needs and budgets. The 1070 Ti is a strong card and it’s in a strange position in the market. To my mind, dropping the price of the GTX 1080, which is only slightly fastest than this card, would have made more sense. However, the 1070 Ti is cheaper, and performs almost as well, and goes head to head with the VEGA 64 for the most part, so perhaps there is room for it in the market to someone.
Zotac has fitted a freaking huge cooler to this graphics card and as it is three slots deep, it has a lot of metal to pull heat out of the card and keep performance maxed out. Add to that the insane power stability thanks to the quad-PSU power inputs adaptor, and some decent clock speeds. Overall, it’s not the fastest GPU in the world, but it’s certainly the fastest Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti we’ve ever tested, and it’ll be hard to make one that’s faster in my opinion.
The design of this card isn’t going to suit everyone, as it’s pretty extreme and aggressive. It’s covered in a carbon fibre design, bright LED lighting, bold yellow lines. I love the design personally, but I can see it looking out of place in some more subtle and stylish gaming systems. Aesthetics are just as big a part of many PC builders motivations as performance is these days.
