Antec P100 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Interior

The exterior of the P100 maybe fairly minimalist, but there is a lot of things going on inside. The motherboard backplate features a massive cut-out which should make installing your CPU cooler an easy task, especially for those installing an ATX dual-socket workstation motherboard.

There are four large cable routing cut-outs around the motherboard, each fitted with a high quality rubber grommet.

In the back you’ll find each of the seven expansion slots is fitted with a reusable ventilated metal cover.

There are seven slide-out hard drive trays, each with support for a 3.5″ or 2.5″ drive. The left side wall that holds up the hard drive bays has huge cut-outs to it, allowing for plenty of airflow to get through from your front mounted fans.

The hard drive trays are of good quality, each requiring you to screw the drive into place from the underside, there is no tool free installation.

There is plenty of clearance above the motherboard, leaving a good space for a slim water cooling radiator, most likely an AIO unit.

The PSU can be installed in a fan up or fan down configuration and will sit on four small rubber pads, providing a little extra clearance, as well as helping to reduce vibration noise from the PSU.

There are six cable tie loops behind the motherboard, which should help keep your excess cables neat and tidy.

There’s two small cable routing holes leading to the front panel, allowing you to route the front fan cables out of sight.

There are two more routing holes at the top of the motherboard, perfect for top mounted fan cables, and extra cables to the motherboard such as the CPU power cable.

The high quality rubber grommets are securely fitted, so shouldn’t pull free when you’re installing your cables.

The soft foam padding on the top panel, as well as the two side panels is really nice quality and should do a great job of reducing noise and vibration from your system.
