A Closer Look

Well, first things first, it looks like a monitor. That’s the first thing ticked off nicely enough. The 27″ panel comes with an anti-glare coating, it’ll still reflect with bright light, but it’s otherwise quite dark. You’ll notice it uses a three-point stand, as well as a durable carry handle design on the rear mount too.

The stand is cast alloy, making it very strong. I like this, as there are too many squeaky plastic stands out there. Not here though, this thing is heavy and strong. It also doesn’t squeak when adjusted.

Control

Tucked under the bottom of the display, there’s a single analogue stick control. It’s also a button, meaning you can open menus, navigate and change options. Not of those bloody awful touch buttons here, phew!

There a solid range of adjustment on offer here too. It’ll swivel +/- 20 degrees left and right, and tilt -5/+20. Furthermore, you can rotate the whole thing 90 degrees and adjust the height by an impressive 130mm.

Power!

Around the back, things look pretty cool too. I have my monitor against a wall, so this makes no impact on me. However, if you have an open desk area, it’s nice that they’ve made the rear look nice. Furthermore, that chunky stand back? That’s the power pack! You plug your power cable into the back as usual, but there’s no power brick on the cable. This keeps things tidy. However, it does mean you cannot wall mount it.

Holy RGBatman!

There are all kinds of lighting going on back here. Two wings of light on the back of the monitor give it quite an evil stance. They’re not one single colour either, they breathe, flow and glow for added effect.

Right on the spine of the stand, a fantastic RGB Aorus logo looks pretty fabulous.

Then there’s also two strips of lights on the sides of the stand too. That’s five lighting zones in each, allow flowing and glowing away. Don’t like it? You can turn it off, don’t worry.

Personally, I quite like it!
