Arctic Accelero Xtreme 7970 VGA Cooler Review

According to our test results the Accelero Xtreme 7970 shaved off an impressive 10 degrees Celsius under Unigine Heaven gaming load. It also managed to wipe off a further 4 degrees Celsius in an idle state suggesting a much greater cooling efficiency.

Had we performed a FurMark burn-in test you’d probably have seen a greater improvement in temperatures, but since most people use their video cards to game, not to run FurMark, this is a more realistic representation of the performance you can actually expect. Either way, the numbers are impressive and will certainly give you greater overclocking headroom than on the stock cooler.
