Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX Review

A Closer Look – Interior

The interior of this case really does look stunning. there’s plenty of room in here for a large graphics card, ATX motherboard, and all the usual stuff really. There are large cut-outs for easily mounting your CPU cooler to the motherboard too.

Plus, there’s a good range of cable routing options around the motherboard.

Some dedicated 2.5″ drive mounts towards the front.

In the rear, you’ll find one of the 140mm fans installed as a heat exhaust.

Then above, that, you’ll find another as an exhaust in the top.

If that’s not enough, there’s yet another one in the front of the case as the air intake! It seems then that stock airflow is going to be pretty fantastic. Of course, there’s room to change the configuration around or add more fans, or swap in some radiators. You have options, that’s what matters.

The PSU shroud is lovely too, as it’ll hide all the cable gore. However, it’s ventilated, comes with loads of cable routing cut-outs, and a cut-away at the front so it doesn’t conflict with larger radiators.

Around the back, you’ll find plenty of cable routing space on offer, which is great. There’s still room under the PSU shroud too, plus cable tie loops everywhere to ensure a nice clean build.

There’s the SSD mounting bracket on the left here. It features a removable design too, allowing you to more easily adjust cable management and to install your drives.

However, there is another SSD mount right behind the motherboard here, which is also easily removable.

Then you have the larger drive bays in the bottom, which are once again removable should you need to.

Finally, the PSU mounting space, offering up loads of room, which isn’t surprising given that be quiet! tend to make some larger PSU units.
