Overview

As I said earlier, I reviewed the older model of this mouse a few years ago and I loved it. Corsair has taken it apart and basically just rebuilt it with even better hardware, but still maintained the same vibe as the original model. There’s just a bit more of everything here, and that’s no bad thing.

Bigger and Better

For Corsair, the RGB is always a strong focus. There’s certainly a lot of it here, and with 9-zones, you’ll have loads of cool lights to tinker around with if you so desire. For me personally, I’d just set it ALL to red or purple and leave it there until the end of time, but that’s the joy of RGB, you have that option. If you want to go into iCUE, add timers, sync, transitions, effects, etc, then you can do that too.

Performance

Well, it’s about as close to perfect as I could ask for really. The sensor is bloody fantastic, and given that Corsair mice have been using the best sensors around for a few years now, that’s hardly surprising. The mouse really is the sum of its parts, a premium sensor, quality switches, excellent construction materials, it all adds up nicely.

With surface calibration, extensive DPI adjustment options, great macro options, it’s all fully programmable, and you can store it all on the mouse. That goes for all the crazy lighting features too, which is great.

Should I Buy One?

Honestly, it’s about as good a mouse as anyone could ask for. The wireless performance is flawless, and there are just no perceivable latency issues even while gaming thanks to the Slipstream connectivity. Corsair has taken a great mouse and, somehow, made it even better. Highly recommended.
