Creative Sound BlasterX Siege M04 Gaming Mouse Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Creative Sound BlasterX Siege M04 is available now for £69.99, which is very good value for money given the specifications. That’s the same RRP as the equally impressive Logitech G502, and much cheaper than the competitive Razer Mamba Tournament Edition.

Overview

Creative may be new to the gaming mouse market, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t got a lot of expertise in the area. They’ve been working with pro gaming teams for many years with their audio products, and they’ve got a lot of knowledge and advice on tap when they need it. They’re one of the biggest names in the PC market and have been for decades with their high-end audio hardware too, so they know more than a few things about making quality products and great design. All of this shines through with the Siege M04, which may very well be one of the best gaming mice of recent years, especially given its respective price range.

Build quality is premium throughout, and it shows in the outward design too. Picking high-end components for the internals, and quality materials for the exterior give the M04 a high-end look and feel that would have you thinking it costs over £100. We certainly had no issues with it and are still using it several weeks after it landed here at eTeknix HQ.

Style and build quality are plentiful here, but it’s performance that steals the show. The sensor in this mouse is faultless, easily good enough to go head to head with the best in the business and that’s something that will make this a big hit with gamers around the world. From using it in the office to browse social media, to sniping your enemies in CS:GO, the Creative M04 exhibits flawless results consistently.

If this is what Creative can do for their first ever gaming mouse, we can’t wait to see what else they can do in the peripherals market over the coming years.

Pros

  • Exceptional build quality
  • Flawless performance
  • Stylish design
  • 360-degree RGB edge lighting
  • Easy to use software
  • Rubber grip coating
  • Competitive price

Cons

  • None

“Creative may be masters when it comes to audio, but their Siege M04 gaming mouse shows that they’re masters of more than one trade. If you’re looking for a stylish and durable gaming mouse with flawless performance, look no further.”
