Cryorig A40 Ultimate 240mm AIO Hybrid CPU Cooler

A Closer Look

The A40 Ultimate is a nice upgrade from the stock A40, offering a much thicker radiator that should be able to handle a much higher TDP given its increased surface area. As with the A40, it supports up to four fans, with two provided, so there is room to expand it should you feel the need. The pump comes with all the required connections for the loop, with two PWM fan headers splitting off for your fans, meaning you only need a single header to connect to the motherboard, as well as a SATA power cable.

The quality of the radiator is very good, with a nice matte black paint job that should blend into your build nicely.

The tubing has a good length to it and it is very flexible, so fitting the A40 Ultimate in a wide range of chassis types and sizes should prove an easy task.

The pump is fairly large, with top mounted hoses at a 45-degree angle for an easy installation.

There’s a special clip on the top for the smaller hybrid fan, as well as a small fan connector to provide the hybrid fan with power.

The Intel bracket is pre-installed for a quick and easy installation and there’s pre-applied thermal paste on the large copper contact surface; we’ll be cleaning that up and using our own paste for testing.
