The D-Link Vigilance DCS-4602EV is a 2 Megapixel Full HD dome network camera. It features excellent day and night vision, and it is suited for outdoor usage. It comes with integrated IR LEDs and 3D noise reduction, and it is suitable for small, medium, and large enterprises.
The camera uses a high-sensitivity 1/3” megapixel progressive scan CMOS sensor with digital WDR image enhancement to deliver balanced video in varying lighting conditions. The compact, rugged design makes this camera ideal for deployment in a wide variety of surveillance applications.
High-Quality Streaming & Recording
The DCS-4602EV provides real-time video compression using the H.264 and MJPEG codecs. That helps to maximise the bandwidth efficiency and improve the image quality. The camera supports three separate profiles for simultaneous video streaming and recording.
This versatility enables a wide variety of security applications, such as monitoring public areas to detect incidents and to coordinate responses. But it also allows you to enforce access control to restricted areas, deter criminal activity, and monitor inventory.
Continuous Monitoring
The DCS-4602EV allows for continuous monitoring, no matter the conditions. It features digital wide dynamic range (WDR) video enhancement which offers an improved image quality in environments with uneven or difficult lighting. You’ll be able to identify subjects, even in these situations where they are backlit or in brightly lit areas.
In low-light situations, the IR cut filter automatically slides out of the way to use all available light. The DCS-4602EV also has built-in IR LED illuminators with an 18-metre range, thus allowing the camera to keep watch even in complete darkness.
These features work together to give you a reliable surveillance camera capable of monitoring an area 24 hours a day.
Flexible Connectivity
The DCS-4602EV has a built-in 802.3af compliant PoE module that simplifies installation by providing power and networking connectivity with a single cable. It reduces the need to drill holes or lay additional cabling. The DCS-4602EV can be mounted virtually anywhere with the Outdoor Dome Camera Wall Mount (DCS-37-1) or Outdoor Dome Camera Ceiling Mount (DCS-37-2) – sold separately.

Package and Accessories
D-Links camera packaging is quite simple. A brown box with all the content inside. There’s a sticker at the end with the product and serial numbers, and sometimes there’s also a sticker on the top showing the camera itself and its features. The retail boxes should all have both stickers, but review samples don’t always.
Inside the box is the camera itself along with everything you need to mount and adjust it. There are screws and plugs for the wall, a tool to adjust the camera’s angle, and a plug for the additional power connector.
The retail version also has a manual, an alignment sticker, and a documents disk included. While there weren’t in this box, we’ll see them for some of the other cameras on the following pages.
