One of the main key focal points of a Deepcool product is that they are, generally, inexpensive. At least by usual 240mm cooler terms. As such, you shouldn’t expect too much from it and certainly not the figures representative of similar 240mm coolers which can cost much more.

Overall, the Deepcool Gammaxx L240 does about as well as we would expect it to. In terms of temperatures, the results put it amongst the other similar ranged 240mm models we’ve tested. It is a little disappointing to see a relatively brand new model not manage to perform a little better, particularly in terms of noise levels.

Yes, if the Gammaxx L240 has a weakness, it’s noise. Under standard operating, it’s not too bad. When overclocked and under heavy load though, those fans crank up to a pretty high speed and, by proxy, get more than a little vocal. It’s not unlivable, but compared to fairly standard temperature scores, we would have hoped it might have been a little better.

On the whole, the results are not bad. They’re just a little bit average.
