When first removing the packaging it is clear why this is referred to as a “Jumbo” tower. The exterior of the case is a daunting thing. With sleek black sides and a pair of silver metal strips running up either side and along the top, the Fulmo GT is full of small design touches that give it an executive feel.

The other side of the chassis follows similar design atributes with the addition of a large air vent and two on-board fan assemblies.

The passive air circulation vents framed by these strips down the front face offers both cooling functionality and design aesthetics. The Enermax logo sits proudly at the bottom of the front face, almost understated by the overwhelming design of the case.

On the top of the case we find a variety of functional buttons and ports. With 4, USB 3 ports available Enermax have opted to lose the older USB 2 variant in favour for the newer, faster technology which will allow better transfer speeds among its advantages. Good spacing has been allocated between these ports to accommodate larger USB devices such as wide profile Flash Drives. We also find an eSATA link as well as the conventional audio Ports all conveniently positioned for quick access.

Beside these ports sits 3 buttons and a rotary dial the first two buttons offers the standard start up and restart functionality found on most cases. The third however offers something a little bit special, controlling the latest Enermax LED technology found within the case. The Fulmo GT utilises this technology to create dynamic light shows around the 3 integrated fans located within the Tower. With 6 modes to choose from there is bound to be a look that suits your style. Moreover, using a PCB controller the Fulmo offers synchronous control of these fans allowing users to obtain the optimum performance required through the top rotary dial.

Another key feature found on the Fulmo GT is the convenient hot swap dock located behind the main case controls on the top of the tower. This dock allows users to plug in 2.5” and 3.5” SATA HDD/SSD drives without the need to remove the casing or fit internal connections. The port comes with a dust cover which protects the pins when not in use and prevents the port from being damaged.

Looking at the rear of the case, Enermax have tried to keep its layout simple and functional. There are seven water cooling holes fitted with rubber grommets located above and below the rear exhaust fan allowing radiators up to 420mm to be fitted. With room for two PSU units and 10 expansion slots the Fulmo GT offers great flexibility allowing you to create a bespoke system tailored to your needs.

The Fulmo GT comes with large rubber feet that lift the case off of the ground and give it a real stability. Using passive ventilation technology built in to the base and an optional ground clearance of 40mm with the additional wheels supplied a good airflow around the tower is achieved.
