In a cold load test we run the PSU in an open air environment to see what the unit is capable without the limiting factor of heat. We hook the PSU up to our load tester and measure the voltage of the various rails as well as measuring the efficiency.
As expected, the unit returns some great results here. Although the voltage regulation isn’t outstanding, it is very good and manages to remain close to the target voltage at full and low loads.
